What is Washein?
Washein started in 2017 as a side project that provided work to local artisans, making them feel productive and able to support their children. 

Little has changed since then, and with the addition of straw bags, home and winter accessories, our core mission remains the same - creating beautiful artisan-made quality products that positively impacts the maker and the buyer.

How do you pronounce Washein?

One word: “washh-ein”

Where did the name come from?

The word "Washein" literally means "our custume" in the Wayuu dialect.

The artisans we work with along with our founder have Wayuu roots and we have always been proud of the brand's identity and closeness to this rich indigenous community.

We are based in London, UK.

Do you have retail stores?
Not at the moment. We currently sell directly through our online shop. This allows us to keep our overhead costs down and keep our prices affordable. 

We love how powerful selling online is and that it has allowed us to reach millions of people around the globe. 

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Maestro or direct payments through PayPal, ApplePay, and Google Pay.

Where do you ship to?
We ship to almost every country in the world and have customers in over 20 countries. 

(The only countries we don't currently ship to are: Yemen, Libya, and other parts of Africa.)

All products are shipped by us from our warehouse in London, UK.

What does shipping cost?
UK - Free on all orders size. Shipped with Royal Mail Tracked 24.

Europe - £15 on all orders size. Shipped with DHL Express. Receive your order between 2-3 business days.

USA & Rest of World - £25 on all orders size. Shipped with DHL Express. Receive your order between 4-6 business days.

How long does it take to dispatch an order?
Please allow 1 working day for orders to be processed after your purchase is complete.

I live outside of Europe, will I be charged additional customs fees or import taxes?
Most likely not. Or it will be a very small amount. However, every country has different regulations on how they handle imported goods. 

We recommended you visit SimplyDuty.com, a duty calculator to find out if you will be charged when the package arrives. We do not pre-pay or cover any import fees.

Can I track my order?
When your order ships, you will receive an email with a tracking link. Please allow a few hours for the link to activate. 

International customers from outside the EU also receive a tracking link.
